We're sprouting root veggies in rocks & water.
We took slices of a potato are doing a science experiment involving germs. We put the first slice right into a plastic baggie to act as a control.The second slice,we all handled with unwashed hands....the third we rubbed on the kitchen counter...the last we all breathed on. All the slices went in there own little baggie.Now we sit back and wait and see what interesting a funky stuff grows.
Georgia O' Keefe is our current artist study. I was all set to concentrate on flower recreations and broke out pastels and watercolors but Lilly is all gung-ho on drawing cow skulls. Lucky for her, I'm the creepy sort that has one laying around.
Well,actually it's not
laying around. It's up on a shelf in the living room.
Anywho...
We worked together yesterday to make a rough plan for "unit studies" and activities this month. We'll be learning about/studying/doing....
